MARION STAFF Peacefully on Monday, May 31, 2004, Marion went to join her husband, Danny, her son, Roddy and her brothers, Maurice, Bill and John. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by not only her family, but by the many whose lives she touched and the many wonderful friends she shared her joys and sorrows with, over the years. Mom, after she lost her beloved husband and still having two sons at home to raise, decided to go into the restaurant business. She picked Alices Restaurant in 1977, which she slowly and steadily built into the now famous Alycias Restaurant in Winnipegs North End. We are all so proud of her and her accomplishments. She has shown kindness, compassion, caring and courage, independence and stubbornness in times of difficulty and stress. Her sense of humour and ability to enjoy life are examples to us all. Not bad for someone with a Grade 6 education, eh? She was Baba to many. Baba loved her family deeply and was proud of each and every one of them. She taught them that there was no such word in the English language as CANT and always said, If youre going to do it, do it well or dont bother doing it at all. After her kids were grown, she dedicated her life to Alycias and that became her family as well. Even though Mom requested no viewing, please join us, daughters Judi and Sharon, son Rob, daughter-in-law Cheryl; grandchildren, Adam, Aaron, Rachena, Danny, Meaghan, Chad and Jade; great-grandchildren, Makayla and Jory; and cousin Ed Bodner and brother Bill Bodner to celebrate her life and share your memories with us. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Rev. Peter Cain officiating. Interment following at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Adam, Aaron, Danny, Chad and nephew Frank and his son Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Lewington, Ernie Krieger, Bill Feniuk, Brian Keith, Cheryl, Rachena, Meaghan and Jade Staff. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a machine of your choice at McPhillips Street Station. Lettuce bee lucky. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
