ALVIN VERNON LOWE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Alvin (Al) Lowe aged 71 years of Oakview, MB, formerly of Winnipeg, MB. Al resided for the past 25 years at Lake Manitoba Narrows. He taught school for 16 years in such communities as Ashern, The Pas and Dawson Creek, BC. Al served in the Navy for three years. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting. He thoroughly enjoyed a good political debate with the guys, and being around his male friends telling stories. Al enjoyed music, and had a very good singing voice. He is survived by his wife Doreen of 36 years, and his three sons, Alexander, Craig and John; his grandson Julian; his aunt Joyce McLean; his cousins, Joanie Nowicki (Lauri), and Lynne Pascoe (David). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the Siglunes Community Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow at the Oakview Cemetery. Everyone in attendance can consider themselves honorary pallbearers.
