KERRY MICHAEL SVEINSON Suddenly on Saturday, May 29, 2004, a gentle heart stopped beating. Left to mourn his passing, cherish his memory and miss his thoughtful encouragement is his wife Connie-Lee. He will also be sadly missed by family members and numerous friends. Born at Holland, MB, January 22, 1945, son of Gudmundur and Myrtle (Blackwell) Sveinson. Kerry had fond memories of his school days at Cypress Valley School and later at Cypress River. At an early age Kerry became responsible for the family farm, and although he tried other occupations for brief periods earlier in life he was drawn back to the farm he loved. On October 25, 1969, Connie-Lee Johnson of Domain, MB, joined Kerry in marriage and his journey through life for nearly 35 years. His special way of respecting others views and putting great thought into decisions was put into practice while servicing on the Cypress River Pool Elevator local board, Cypress River Lodge, Keystone Agricultural Producers, Councilor for the R.M. of Argyle and Cypress River Credit Union board of directors. Kerry made many very special friends while having the privilege of serving these groups. The "antique collecting bug" bit Kerry and Connie-Lee. Both enjoyed auctions, flea markets and looking for that special "find." Love of the old and unusual also brought new friends and good memories. An inquiring mind and search for knowledge, new places and ideas made travel a joy for Kerry. Trips to the Caribbean, the western United States brought him great satisfaction. Recently, fulfilling Connie-Lees lifelong dream of travels to Scotland opened new avenues for both, and lifelong "new" friendships were made. Cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. Friends that so desire, memoriams may be made in Kerrys memory to the Bru Cemetery Fund, in care of Shane Jonsson, Cypress River, MB R0K 0P0, or to a charity of ones choice. "You are the wind beneath my wings." Jamieson Funeral Service of Baldur-Glenboro in care of arrangements.
