JOYCE RIESE (nee THOMPSON) Suddenly on Friday, May 28, 2004, Joyce passed away at the age of 86. She was born in Glenboro, MB on July 15, 1917 and moved to Winnipeg in 1938. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Paul on May 25, 1977; her parents, Albert and Rose Thompson; her brother Ralph Lloyd Thompson in Military Service in 1941 and her sister Grace Lillian Turner in 1987. She is survived by her sister Bernice Emily Kolterman of Victoria, BC; brother-in-law Bernhard Boecker (Jean) of Duluth, MN; sister-in-law Maria Riese in Germany and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Germany. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, June 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Msgr. Louis J. McCloskey, P.H. presiding. Interment to follow in Little Britain, MB. Special thanks to her nephew Bill Vielhaber for driving her everywhere in the winter and her close friend Cecilia Hass who stopped in for regular visits and was always available when Joyce needed her.
