ADINA LEELA DALTON Surrounded by her family, Adina passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Adina was born on September 10, 1949 in Trinidad. She immigrated to Canada in April 1969 and settled in Winnipeg where she continued her education. Adina had a strong Christian faith. She was one of the founding members of Agape Chapel, where she worked faithfully at any given task. Adina will be remembered for her faith in God, her servant attitude along with her kindness and generosity. She loved to share her life with her family and friends. We have been richly blessed by her. Adina was predeceased by her father Rev. Charles Dalton in 1976. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Mrs. Betty Dalton; brothers, David and Daniel; sister and brother-in law, Rubena and Aldwin Ragoonath; niece and husband Sharla and Gilles Gauthier and their children, Dominic and Bryana, and niece Christa. After a lengthy battle with heart disease, Adina was taken to be with the Lord, ending her pain and suffering. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of the Victoria General Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5 at Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St., Winnipeg, with viewing at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
