LEDA MESSNER (nee LABOSSIERE) Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, Leda Messner of Altamont, MB passed away at her residence on Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the age of 63 years. She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Gerald; six children, Rheal (Adele), Marilyn Brunel (Raynald), Alain Messner, Ronald (Annie), Lisa Bessette (Philip) and Serge Messner; 14 grandchildren, Jaclyn, Breanne, Michelle, Kaylene, Joanne, Jeremy, Melissa, Justin, Joey, Emma, Reilly, Shayla, Brenden and Noah; two daughters-in-law, Jennifer and Bonnie. She also leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Jeannette Hamel (Eugene) and Lucille Sabourin; four brothers, Tony (Elsie), Fernand (Jeannette), Florent (Alice) and Alain Labossiere; one brother-in-law Edmond Maranda; one sister-in-law Laurette Labossiere and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edouard and Cecil and by one sister Edith Maranda. Prayers will be held at Adams Funeral Home on Thursday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. followed by cremation. Funeral mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame de la Nativite Roman Catholic Church in Somerset, MB on Friday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Celestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery at a later date.
