Date of Passing: Jun 02, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN HENRY NYKOLUK Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Steve passed away peacefully on June 2, 2004 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer at aged 68 years. Steve is predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Nykoluk. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years Heather; son Rick and daughters, Joyce, Wendy (John), Sandra (Kent) granddaughter Melissa and great-grandson Dylan. Steve was born and raised in Transcona. He had been employed by the CNR for 31 years, retiring in 1986. With a love for the outdoors, Steves greatest joys included hunting, fishing, his gardens and his wrought iron designs. Our family wishes to send special thanks to the home care staff, especially Anita, for the care and compassion extended to our family. A memorial service will be conducted by Chaplain Paul Martin on Friday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Flowers gratefully declined. A donation in Steves memory to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division) would be an appreciated tribute to his generous, thoughtful nature. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
