MAY GROSSMAN (nee LAVALLEE) Peacefully, on June 2, 2004, surrounded by family, May Grossman passed away at the age of 91. She was born in Grande Pointe, MB on October 11, 1912 to Pierre and Josephine Lavallee and spent most of her life on the farm in Lorette, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Grossman in 1971; and two infant sons; as well as her brothers, Pete, Tony, Willie and Emile; and her sisters, Priscilla Lagimodiere and Jeanne Chwartacki. She is survived by her children, Evelyn Ross (John), William (Raymonde), Mary-Ann Novak (Wayne) 10 grandchildren, Patricia Dehnel (Morgan), Margaret Ross (Andrew), Diana Ross, Paul Grossman (Lilianne), Lise McNair (Gerry), Gisele Roy (Larry), Nicole Grossman, Adele, Alan and Vicki Novak and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Andy Lavallee, several sisters and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. May was a patient and giving person who welcomed all into her home and was well recognized for her craft and cooking skills, as well as her devotion to family, friends, relatives and community. Special thanks to the staff of the Poseidon Care Centre, especially the 4th floor caregivers who saw to her needs and comfort during her 15 month stay there. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m., in Notre Dame de Lorette Church, Lorette, with interment to follow in the Parish cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
