Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELINE CATHERINE HERNER (nee RIEGER) Suddenly on June 2, 2004 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Adeline Herner passed away at the age of 81. She was predeceased by her husband Leo in 2001, her son Claude in 1986. She is survived by her three children, Jim (Eileen), Mari-Ann (Friend Brian), Kathy (Eugene) nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnny of Vancouver, Joe (Rita), George (Emma), Victor (Mary) sisters, Helen and Theresa, all of Winnipeg. Adeline was born on November 25, 1922, in Winnipeg. She married Leo on August 31, 1946 and they started their family. She moved into her home in 1950 and stayed there until her passing. She always had an open door for anyone who wanted to eat. She was an active member of St. Peters Church and was a member of the C.W.L. Womens League. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the small kids in the neighbourhood, who all called her Gramma! She always looked forward to her Friday nights, to have supper and play "Aggravation". Prayers will be held on Sunday, June 6, 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 738 Keewatin, on Monday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Vincent Herner officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Brent, Ron, Kim, Roxanne, Tami, Melissa and Nicole. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation may be made in Adelines memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 300-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Mom, You raised us and you taught us the things we needed to learn. You kept us feeling safe and loved with all your warm concern. Youve been a source of faith and hope to us our whole life through, And we feel blessed and grateful to have a mom like you. Mom, we love you so much!
