Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE VIOLET WONG (nee BARNES) Surrounded by her family, Anne Wong, aged 90, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre. Predeceased by Jack Wong (husband), Mary McCoy (daughter) and Richard Elliott (son-in-law). Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by daughters, Pearl Wong (Lloyd), Lillian Lai (Yun), Anna Mae Hunter (Bob), Fay Elliott, Sylvanna Palmer (Warren), Linda Smith (Bob) sons, Jack (Rose Marie), Bing, Henry; sons-in-law, Walter McCoy and John Campbell; 36 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Anne was a loving wife, a courageous mother, a fun grandmother who was always very proud of all her family and their accomplishments. A lady, who loved to laugh, loved life and was forever young! Many thanks to Dr. Steve and the House Staff at the Health Sciences Centre - GD4 for caring for her in her last days, and to all the personnel at Middlechurch Home who made the four and a half years of Annes stay there, a happy safe home! Prayers will be held at St. Bernadettes Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. on June 6 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church on Monday, June 7 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Fred Olds. Luncheon and interment to follow. Her grandsons will act as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd., East St. Paul, MB R4A 4A6 in Anne Wongs memory.
