OLIVE CHISHOLM Olive Chisholm passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on May 31, 2004 with her daughter & son-in-law at her side. Olive was born on the family farm near Neepawa, Manitoba to Charles and Netta (Henderson) Boles. She was predeceased by her husband Larry (1986), sister Irene Collie (1987) and brother Raymond (1986). Olive & Larry were married in October, 1941 and lived in Neepawa, Brandon, Dauphin, Portage la Prairie, Winnipeg, and finally Yorkton, Sask. During her 25 years in Yorkton, she was an active member of the A.C.T. Ladies Auxiliary, the 5-Pin Bowling Association, and enjoyed meeting people where she worked at Mikes Lock Service. In 1988, Olive moved to Calgary to be near her daughter. She will be lovingly remembered by her only child Marilyn and husband Jack Kucherawy of Calgary. She was so proud of her granddaughter Andrea of Victoria and grandson Trevor of Calgary. Also surviving are sister Shirley Boles of Ottawa; sister-in-law Iona McPhee of Winnipeg; uncle Garnet (Jean) Henderson of Portage la Prairie; two nieces, two nephews; and very special longtime friend Mary Tomasson of Calgary. We wish to thank Dr. Richard Bolduc and nurse Joan for their many years of kindness and care. Mom was so happy to live at Eau Claire Retirement Residence this past year. She often would say how good "the girls" were to her. A heartfelt Thank-you to each & every staff member for the care and concern shown to Mom. A graveside service will take place on Monday, June 7, 2004 (what would have been her 82nd birthday) at 3:00 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Neepawa, Manitoba, with Rev. George Cargo officiating. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be be made in memory of Olive to the Eau Claire Retirement Residence, 301 - 7th Street S.W., Calgary, AB., T2P 1Y6.
