FLORENTIUS (LORENS) PETERSON On Friday, June 4, 2004, Florentius (Lorens) Peterson, aged 92 years, formerly of Inwood, MB passed away at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. Born October 17, 1911 at Fuglafjordur, Faroe Islands. The family immigrated to Canada in 1927. They first settled in Alida, SK. In 1930 they moved to Deerhorn, MB. Lorens farmed at Sandridge, MB from the early 1940s until the early 1960s. In the early 1960s Lorens bought a farm in Inwood, MB. He farmed at Inwood until 2001. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Johanna, and his brother John. Lorens is survived by his sister Alexandra Ellefson; six nieces, Aleth and John Mansley, Lynne White, Joyce and Jim OBrien, Barbara and Don Smith, Sandra Holm and Vince Biasone, Judy Ellefson and Jamie Schoening; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Interment will follow in the Inwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. McTaggart and the staff at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, and Goodwin Lodge for the wonderful care given to Lorens.
