She was preceded by her parents, James Gerrie and Kathleen Dorothy (Best) Marr; and all but one sibling, brother Ernie. She was also predeceased by her husband John Henry Angus on December 21, 1959 (married October 6, 1945) and her eldest son Benjamin James on December 18, 1978. Dorothy was born and lived in Winnipeg near her son Kenneth (Lynn) up until March of 2003 where she resided with her son Wilfred (Linda) in Mission, BC and was close to her daughter Valerie (Ron) of Abbotsford, BC. Dorothy really enjoyed this time given to her, and all were happy to see the joy and new-found strength that she was able to have in this time. Dorothy dedicated her life to raising her children and working in the hospitality field. She retired in 1975. Her retirement was to attend bingo and meet new friends. Her hobby was to knit, as her hands were not to be idle. Many friend have her dollies and many babies have been wrapped in her blankets. Mother liked to give to others rather than receive, this is one of the things that brought her joy. Dorothy also leaves behind nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She will always be a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
