Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIA TUTAJ On Saturday, June 5, 2004, surrounded by her loving family, Julia Tutaj passed away peacefully at the Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 95. Julia was born on May 30, 1909 in Zembrzyce, Poland. She immigrated to Canada in 1960 to join her husband, Miroslaw (1981) and children in Winnipeg. Family and friends were very dear to Julia, including her family back home, whom she always remembered. The door to her apartment at the Polish Manor was always open. Julia loved to cook and bake and always made sure no one left hungry. She loved to read, latch-hook, pick mushrooms, and cared for her plants. In 1996, Maples Personal Care Home became Julias new home. The family sincerely thanks the staff at the residence and her daughter-in-law, Helen, for making her eight-year stay there a comfortable one. Julia was predeceased by her brother Piotr; sisters, Aniela, Hanka, and Karola; son Lech; and granddaughter Barbara and Ruth. Julia is survived by her son, Miroslaw (Helen) of Winnipeg; daughter, Aleksandra of Calgary; grandchildren, Margaret (Michael), Ola, Mary, Nina, Tom, Michael; great-grandchildren, Chopper, Barbara (Michael), Tonya (partner Derek), Donovan, Sarah, Terry, Robin, Melanie; great-great-grandchildren, Trinity, Ashley, Donavon and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and in Poland. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 10, 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Pallbearers will be Tom Kaczmarek, Michael Kaczmarek, Donovan Moreton, Andrzej Dobosz, Roman Baranowski, and Zdzichu Kuczma. In lieu of flowers, donations in Julias memory may be made to the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2W 2L8. Thanks for the many years you gave us.
