EDWARD "TED" STANLEY SMITH Ed was born January 8, 1938 in Winnipeg, and passed away suddenly on June 4, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter Marlene; sons, Glenn, Craig (Sherisse) granddaughter Courtney; grandsons, Andy, Dillon, Jarett; sisters, Eleanor, Mabel (Les) and Irene. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Martha; sisters, Kay, Marge; and brothers, Joe and Jim. After completing school, Ed started with B.A. Robinson Co. until his retirement in 2003, as vice president of the electrical department. Ed enjoyed having pool parties, barbecues and going to the lake at Gimli. Ed enjoyed golfing and travels with friends as well as being an avid sports enthusiast. Ed was a great husband, father and grandfather and he cherished his family beyond words. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 9 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Reception to follow. Special thanks to Bruce and Ev McCowan and staff at the Grace General Hospital for their help and support.
