EDWARD (TED) BATCHELOR Ted passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 6, 2004. In 1943 Ted was born in Paradise Hill, SK and grew up in the Castlegar area of BC. During his lifes work as a geological engineer (grad from UBC), Ted lived and traveled throughout Canada, Australia and Europe. He was Director of Mines for the Government of Manitoba and also worked as a financial consultant for Investors Group. He loved camping, canoeing and hiking in the NWT and bird watching. As a Queen Scout, Ted served as a leader in the scouting movement for many years. Most importantly Ted found new life in his Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. He enjoyed Bible Studies and serving as a Gideon. His family mourning the loss of his presence yet celebrating his life here and his eternal life in Christ, includes his mother Evelyn Batchelor; father Richard (predeceased) mother-in-law Constance Szocs; his wife Linda; and their daughter Anita (Fred) Forest and their children Elizabeth, Maryse and Benjamin; and son Grant (predeceased), (Wendy) and their son Caleb; brother Tom (Karen) Batchelor and their children, Connie (Paul) McIntyre, Carrie Batchelor, Stacie (Clay) Martini, Jason (Kayla) Batchelor and many uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends. Viewing will be at Thomson Funeral Chapels Wednesday, June 9 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Thursday, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. with interment at the Oak Bluff Cemetery, Saturday June 12 at 8:30 a.m. and memorial service following at Elim Chapel, Portage Avenue and Spence Street at 10:00 a.m. We thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their kindness and Elim Chapel for all their loving support.
