ANNIE CUTHBERT Peacefully, with her family at her side on Friday, June 4, 2004 at the Portage District General Hospital, Annie Mary Cuthbert (Mason), aged 88 years of Portage Creek, beloved wife of Norman, passed away. Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be held at the Hillside Cemetery on Monday, June 14 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Margaret Scott officiating. Following the service the family invites friends and neighbours to join them at the McKenzie United Church Hall, 85-11th Street NW. for refreshments at 3:00 p.m. Predeceased by her parents, Lester Mason (1974) and Ellen (Nellie 1972) daughter Linda (in infancy) and brothers, Clifford (Gladys), Leonard (Drina), Bill, Robert (in infancy) and brother-in-law Cecil Wedgewood. She leaves to mourn in her passing her husband Norman; children, Ken (Elaine) of Winnipeg, Norma (John) Verwey of Portage, Terri (Ken) Kupidy of Okotoks, AB, Cal (Elaine) of Minnedosa, Dan (Janet) of Portage and sister Elsie Wedgewood of Kenton, MB. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fort la Reine Museum, Box 744, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3C2. The Omega Funeral Home Portage la Prairie is in care of the arrangements.
