John will be dearly missed by his wife Stefania of 40 years; son Mark (Shelley) three beloved grandchildren, Orycia, Alexander and Adrianna; and nephews in Lviv, Ukraine. He was predeceased by his mother, father, brother and sister. John was born on August 17, 1923 in selo Vetlin, near Jaroslav, Western Ukraine. At the young age of 18, John was forced into labour camps in Germany during the Second World War. After the war, John lived in Scotland and England before settling in Winnipeg in 1958.
