Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAROLE ROBERTS (nee REINSCH) Carole Roberta Roberts passed away June 4, 2004 at the North York General Hospital in Toronto, ON after a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 19, 1946 in Winnipeg, MB, Carole was the youngest child of Robert and Nettie Reinsch. She is survived by brothers, Ronald (Carolyn), Allan (Marilyn), brothers-in-law, Dennie (Louise), Lorne (Debbie), and numerous nieces and nephews. 1969 was a big year for Carole. She graduated as a registered nurse, married David Roberts on June 21, joining the family of Paul and Marie Roberts, and moved to British Columbia to begin her nursing career in Williams Lake. Marie Roberts became a pillar of support throughout Caroles life. Carole and David enjoyed this great land of ours. They lived in Williams Lake, Fort Nelson and Dawson Creek, BC. They welcomed son Todd in 1972. Daughter Michelle was born in 1976 while custom combining in Arizona, and in 1980 daughter Pamela (David Barton) was born while living in Osborne, MB. Other moves included Nelson, BC, Toronto and lastly Kleinburg, ON. Consistent throughout all of these changes was Caroles role of mother, Sunday school teacher and nursing career. Carole touched innumerable lives. She has been mother, friend and advisor to many. Countless people enjoyed her hospitality, her cooking and the open door she extended to all who needed a place to rest for however long. Sometimes illness makes people bitter, sometimes it makes them better. Each person who came to encourage, pray with, or to bless Carole in her low times went away encouraged, prayed for and blessed. Her strength of character and conviction of faith will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 15 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brunkild, MB, with Rev. Kolleen Karlowsky-Clark presiding. As our loved one knocks at heavens door, our father waits with open arms to welcome Carole into his home forever.
