She was a resident of Golden West Centennial Lodge. Cecile will be deeply missed by her sons, Phillip Carlton (Gloria) of Toronto and Ernie Carlton (Doris) of Winnipeg; her grandchildren, Robert Carlton (Marlisle) of Penticton and Bonnie Carlton of Winnipeg; her great-grandson David Carlton; sister-in-law Irene Gauthier; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; her step-daughters, Joyce Forsyth and Irene Ferguson; and step-son Donald Cockrell. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Cockrell in 1981; her parents, Charlemange and Anna Gauthier; her sisters, Leontine, Malvina, Sara and Martha; and her brothers, Adelard and Louis. Mom was born in LaSalle, MB and raised there as well as in St. Anne, MB. Cecile was a fur cutter by trade and worked hard to raise her two sons by herself. Before illness disabled her, she spent many happy years with her friends at the Richmond Gardens on Pembina Highway. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Moms memory may be made to The Salvation Army or the Alzheimer Society.
