MAY (MAE) GERTRUDE FLACK
Date of Passing: Jun 08, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAY (MAE) GERTRUDE FLACK Peacefully, on June 8, 2004 at the Park Manor Personal Care Home, Mae Flack, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at age 93 years. Mae leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her daughter Valorie, grandson Dwayne (Susan), granddaughter Trish (Doug), great-grandchildren, Tyler (Stephanie) and Kristy; her two sisters, Mildred Beech of Vancouver, B.C., Dulcie (Orvil) Atkinson of Selkirk and many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Mervin (1962) son-in-law Gordon (1997) and her sister Margaret (2002). Mae had enjoyed working at the Concordia Hospital and Conquest Nursing, taking care of the residents. Mom adored and was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very kind and easygoing person, who loved nature, flower gardening and her beloved pets. As per Moms request there will be no formal funeral service, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Park Manor Personal Care Home, for their wonderful care and compassion, also the HCA ladies for their care while mom was at home. Flowers gratefully declined. A memorial donation to your favourite charity would be an appreciated tribute to Moms generous, thoughtful nature. You can only have one mother, Patient, kind and true, No other friend in all the world Would be so true to you. For all her loving kindness She asked nothing in return. If all the world deserted us, To mother we would turn. To those who have a mother Treasure her with care, For you will never miss her Till you know shes not there. A golden heart stopped beating Her body is now at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Only those who live to tell The pain of parting without farewell. Others were taken, yes we know. But she was ours, and we miss her so. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
