JOHN PANCHUK On Tuesday, June 8, 2004, with his family at his side, John Panchuk passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks General Hospital. John was born September 8, 1919 in Arbakka, MB. He was predeceased by his parents Nicholai Panchuk and Maria Katryniuk; brothers, Peter and William; and sisters, Anne, Mary and Cathy. John is survived by his wife Annie; daughters, Shirley (Boris), Terry (Dmetro) grandson Stephen; sisters, Sophie and Della; and many nieces and nephews. John was self-employed for many years in jewelry and watch repairs, working out of his shop on Selkirk Avenue before retiring. John enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. John married Annie Ziolkowski on May 16, 1946 and recently celebrated 58 years of marriage. He was a good father to his daughters, Shirley and Terry and was proud of his grandson Stephen who shared his birth date of September 8. John had a good sense of humour and always had a story to tell. He will be missed. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 11 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12 also at the Chapel with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Gnutel, Ronnie Panchuk, George Schreyer, Johnny Kulczycki, Walter Kulczycki and Andrew Kulczycki. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. A special thank you to the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital.
