JAMES GROOM Peacefully after a short illness, with his wife, Louise (Jo) by his side, Jim Groom passed away on June 10, 2004. In addition to his wife, he leaves to mourn his children, Heather, Gayle (Mike), Janice (Ron) and Jim, Jr. (children: Mac, David, Stephen and Tamisha). He is also survived by his sisters, Helen and Pearl (Val) and cousins Gayle (Ollie) and Lynn. Jim was very close to his wifes family, Blanche, Rena, Tom, Francis, John (Cathy) and Robert (Ferne) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jims sense of humour and love of life will be sorely missed by his family and his friends both here and in Whisper Creek, Florida. Jims proudest achievements, besides his family, were his 34 years in AA and his 130 blood donations to the Red Cross. He loved dogs and there are many that he "babysat" who will miss him. Cremation has taken place. Jim requested no funeral; instead there will be a celebration of his life at his residence on the afternoon of Sunday, July 4, 2004.
