CHARLES BENNETT READY Born March 18, 1929, died June 2, 2004, in Vancouver. Survived by his loving wife Nancy Grant and his adored daughters Elizabeth and partner Margaret McKenty of Winnipeg, Catherine Ready and Joe Webster of Peterborough, Jennifer and Dennis Bettiol of Vancouver, Gillian Ready and Mark Walters of Kingston, and Margot Ready and Bhreandain Clugston of Vancouver. He leaves behind his much loved grandchildren Michael and Jane Ready Webster, David and Michael Bettiol, and Megan and Kate Ready-Walters. Chuck will also be missed by his brother John, his wife Doris and their family, and his sister-in-law Mary Ready and family. He was predeceased by his sister Freda and brother Philip. Also mourning their loss is the extended Grant family. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Richard Klasa, BC Cancer Institute, staff at Vancouver General Hospital, and much gratitude to family physician Dr. Carol Story and staff at Pacific Spirit Community Health Centre. Funeral mass was held at St. John the Apostle Church on June 5. Cremation has taken place. Donations to BC Cancer Institute or Heart and Stroke would be appreciated.
