ROBERT (BOB) HANNES SNIDAL Our Dad passed away at the age of 81 on Monday, June 7, 2004 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. He is greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Peg (Shilliday), son Cobb (Patricia Sherin, Tate and Tessa) and daughters, Leslie (Ed Saikaley, Mark and Debra), Lyz (Jim Meyer), Lisa (Erica and Emily) and Sam (Paul Dias). Bob was born on August 31, 1922 in Winnipeg, MB of Icelandic decent to Jon and Anna Snidal. He served in the Second World War as a navigator after which he attended the University of Manitoba and graduated in 1950 with a degree in Commerce (Honours). Bob was the last of the five Snidal brothers: Jack, James, Danny and David. He loved nothing more than to be surrounded by his family, listening to great music (especially Oscar Peterson), along with a scotch and a great meal. A private family celebration is planned for a later date but Bob would wish that all of his friends and acquaintances celebrate his successful and happy life with a toast! Special thanks to Dr. Gordon Kee and the staff on floor A-5. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre.
