Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM WENDELL WEEKS December 18, 1911 - May 15, 2004 Wendell unexpectedly passed away in his home, enjoying his favourite hobby, "woodworking". Dad was predeceased by wife Dorothy of 53 years and son, Dwight; sisters, Florence, Vera, Doris, Marjorie, Jean, Mabel and Matilda (Tillie). He leaves to mourn, daughter Darlene and husband Barry Hood (Lac du Bonnet, MB) son Wade and wife Anna and their sons, Kevin and Ryan (Kelowna, BC) and daughter Cheryl (Victoria, BC) sisters, Dorothy (London, ON) and Eleanor (Regina, SK) brother Alison and wife Marie (Goderich, ON). Following jobs in several areas in Canada, in 1935 Dad decided to seek work at San Antonio Gold Mines (Bissett, MB). He first worked in Rogers Bakery till he was "hired on" in 1936, working underground and in milling. Dad met Mom, who was working in the cook shack and they were married in Bissett in 1942, leaving for Fraser Lake, BC in 1965. Moving to Enderby, BC in 1978 gave them many years to enjoy their home, numerous trips exploring British Columbia and family gatherings in Kelowna. Dads shop was his best friend following Moms passing in 1995 and it is so fitting his last day was spent wood working. A family Service of Remembrance was held in his home. Wendells ashes will be laid to rest alongside wife Dorothy and son Dwight in Cliffside Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, if desired donations could be made to a charity of choice.
