MARGARET IRENE BESTECK November 6, 1924 - June 10, 2004 Tragically and without reason, at her home, Margaret with her beloved dog B.J., were taken from us. She leaves to mourn her loss, her daughter Carol and her husband Grant; son Terry, wife Donna and family; close neighbours, Earl, Diane, Heather, Steven and families, numerous family and "adopted" family members and many close friends. She was predeceased by her sister Signe; her parents; daughters, Bonnie and Shirley; her husband Ken and her brother Bernt. Marg was born and grew up in Bawlf, AB. She moved to Edmonton in her early 20s, where she met and married the love of her life, Ken, on December 22, 1951, living the life of an Air Force wife until his passing in 1973. Throughout Margs entire life, she was an active member of the church. Over the years she lived her faith by helping countless people, whether their needs were large or small. To know Marg was to love her, as many, many friends will attest to. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Margarets life will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede, 99 Turner Ave., with Rev. Jamie Howison officiating. Interment will take place in July in Bawlf, AB. Friends and relatives are requested to write a favourite story or remembrance of Marg, and forward to Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 0R6, email condolences@nbardal.mb.ca or bring to the church. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations can be made to the Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede, 99 Turner Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 2S9 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Education Program, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
