He was there for many years and had made many lifelong friends in the process. Before starting at the City, Allan worked in British Columbia for over 25 years as a logger. He told many colourful stories of this part of his life, as living and working in a logging camp, brings many experiences. He truly lived his life to the fullest, and in doing so made many mistakes in the process. However in his later years, he really wanted to and tried to make amends. He loved his family and always tried to help out a friend. He was a kind and loving man, and his love and devotion will be greatly missed. Prayers and visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Cremation will take place after the prayers and a memorial service will be held on Friday, June 18 at 12:00 noon, also at the chapel. I think of my Dad often and wish that I had met him and been apart of his life many years before he passed. I had met him when I was in my early teens, was fortunate enough to meet my Grandmother Beatrice as well. My dad and I reconnected many years later and kept in touch by phone. He was a man with a very kind and giving heart and am saddened that we didn’t have the chance to reconnect more. Dad you will always be in my heart. - Posted by: Shawn Olsen (Daughter ) on: Jun 15, 2020
