JEAN BARBOUR COMRIE (nee WHYTE) August 28, 1923 - June 13, 2004 Peacefully on Sunday morning, June 13, 2004, Jean passed away at the age of 80. Jean was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and came to Canada in 1944 as a war bride to James Dougal Comrie. Jean was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1970. She will lovingly be remembered by her two sisters, Helen and Margaret and their families in Scotland. Also by her children, Carol (Jon) Durand (British Columbia), Pat Rife (British Columbia), Wally (Wanda) Comrie (Winnipeg) and Kevin (Sondee) Comrie (Winnipeg). By her grandchildren, Cynthia (Bob), James, Sean, Sara, Morgan, Chelsea and Randi. By her great-grandchildren, Stuart and Eddie. At Jeans request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 17 at the Transcona Alliance Church, 751 Kildare Ave. East at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeans memory to the Transcona Alliance Church, Park Manor Personal Care Home, CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
