AL KAVANAGH Surrounded by his family, Al passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre. He was our cherished husband, father, papa, brother, son-in-law and friend. Al will be forever remembered by his loving wife Joanne with whom he spent 36 treasured years. As a couple, they were together for longer than they were apart. He will also be remembered by his sons, Rod (Melanie) and Chris (Kim) daughter Lori (Marcel) McIvor; grandchildren, Taylor, Devon, Chase, Avery, Cassandra and Christopher; brothers, Leo (Karen), Art (Sylvia) and John; sisters, Hilda (Joe) and Alice (Bob) sister-in-law Karen (Mike) Zaste; mother-in-law Ruth Pederson; and many other extended family members and friends. Al was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Elizabeth. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Al can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Hell always be remembered as a man, both strong and good, Who gave his best for others and who did the best he could. Hell always be remembered for all the joy he brought, As a man who made a difference and a man who meant a lot.
