RUDI OEHME August 6, 1924 - June 14, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father and grandfather, Rudi Oehme, on June 14, 2004 with his family at his side. Rudi is survived by his loving wife Erna Epp; son Carl (Shirley) of Winnipeg; daughter Sylvia (Andrew Koczersuk) of London, ON; two stepchildren, Ron Epp (Gwen) of Regina, Cindy Epp (Francis St. Hilaire) of Winnipeg; three grandchildren, Crystal Baker (Josh), Michael Robertson (Angie) of Calgary, Carla Oehme of Winnipeg; five stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister Marlese (John) Schmidt of Kelowna; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Agnes, one sister Margarete, and his parents. Rudi was born in Dresden, Germany and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1954. He had his own television repair service (Ohms T.V.) in Transcona for many years. He enjoyed many summers with his family at their cottage at Hillside Beach and travelling to warmer climates in the winter months. He was a member of the German Club and an avid music lover. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit 3, 5th floor, at Seven Oaks Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. A celebration of Rudis life will be held on Thursday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch St. at Cheriton Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rudis memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
