EUGENIE F.G. (JEAN) SWAIN (nee LOW) On Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Jean Swain passed away at the age of 85 years. Jean was predeceased by her son Bill. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Gordon; their sons, Leslie (Linda), Edward also known as Ted (Joan) her daughters-in-law, Lorraine Swain and Sheron McLean; her grandchildren, Dylan, Lesley (Andrew) Scholtz, Natalie, Kristina, David, Jennifer and Heather. Her sister Alfreda Hewlett, brother John (Elaine) Low, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jean worked at the Provincial Laboratories for many years. Jean had a concert troupe "Gloom Chasers" during the war. She was a life time volunteer for the Museum of Man and Nature. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 21, at Glen Lawn Funeral Chapel, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will also be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
