Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT MAJOR January 16, 1935 Peacefully on June 16, 2004 with family at his side, Robert passed on. Robert leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 45 years Hilda; daughters, Cheri, Tandy (Carl), Judy (Darryl), and Jackie; grandchildren, Raymond, Joni, Alicia, Gelisa, Dana, Darryl Jr., Devin, Dion, and Anjolina; nephews, Brian (Diane), Mylen (Luanne), and Melvin; niece Clara (Ross) great nephews and nieces, Brian Jr., Angela, Jenny, Terry, Cindy, and Scott; and very special family friends, Josie, Roxanne, and Steven McGillivary. Robert was predeceased by his son Joey; parents Joseph and Florence; brother Norbert; sister Mary; and nephew James (Jumbo). Robert served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for a number of years. At one point, he was stationed at Langar Air Force Base in England and in Clinton, ON. Robert was involved with many organizations across Canada, too many to mention. Robert was best known as being a Master of Ceremonies at various pow-wow gatherings across North America, where he took joy in entertaining people with his genuine sense of humour. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Rd., with Rev. Ken Innes officiating. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Carl Greene, Randy Lee, Brian Major Jr., Raymond Major, Carl Smith, and Gary Williamson.
