JOSEPH DAIGNEAULT
Born: Nov 05, 1937
Date of Passing: Jun 17, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH DAIGNEAULT November 5, 1937 - June 17, 2004 We are saddened to announce the passing of Joseph Daigneault of Winnipeg, much loved father and grandfather, after a short battle with cancer. Left to mourn his passing are his son Joey (Deanna) and his beloved grandchildren, Alexandria, Samuel and Cydonie. Also, special family friend Pam Butler (Tony) his nephew Les Jones and many loved ones and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy Agnes who passed away in 1995 and his parents, Grampa and Gramma MacDonnell of Portage La Prairie. Dad worked in the hotel industry for more than 30 years, dabbled in the used furniture business and had been a Watkins representative for numerous years before deciding to give retirement a try. Dad had been semi-retired for years now, never being able to accept full retirement, keeping himself busy between his flowers, garden, bargain hunting, barbecues and grandchildren with part-time work at the #1 Legion. Dad also had great passion for hunting, fishing, golfing and bowled in a league for many years. During the course of his lifetime, Dad made an insurmountable volume of friends. Going out with Dad usually meant you had to schedule an extra hour or two because of all the people he would bump into and invariably have a conversation with. He would always be first in line to help those who needed it and the last person to leave until everything was all right again. Words cannot express the sorrow we feel at his passing nor how much he will be missed in the future. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held on Wednesday June 23, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. with Father Sam conducting. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #1, 626 Sargent Ave. at Maryland at noon. Special thanks for the staff and people at the Riverview Health Centre for the excellent care and help they provided at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Joes name. "Remember that life is a journey, the destination need not matter as the quality of the trip."
