OLGA OLENDY Unexpectedly on June 16, 2004, Olga Olendy, aged 59 years, of Selkirk, MB. passed away at the Selkirk & District General Hospital. Olga was predeceased by her father, Anton, and leaves surviving her mother, Pearl; brothers, Tony, Peter, Mike, Paul and Phillip; sisters Sophie and Elsie; an uncle and aunt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In 1994 Olga moved into an Association for Community Living home. Olga made a life long friend in her first roommate, Olga Romanyshyn who will miss her deeply. She enjoyed music, dancing, bowling, gardening and attending baseball and football games. Olga loved her cat Patches and spent long hours playing with her. She enjoyed people of all ages around her. Olga had been struggling with her health over the last two years, but managed to keep her sense of humour and lively spirit. Olga touched the lives of many people at ACL-Selkirk and through her years of work at ARC Industries. She had the ability to make you smile and laugh as soon as she was in your presence. Olga will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her friends at ACL-Selkirk. Prayers will be said on Monday June 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 22 at 2:00 p.m. also in the chapel with Mr. Nick Sidorko officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
