Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLONNIE COLLINS It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lonnie Collins on June 17, 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Traci, son-in-law Perry Stephenson, and grandchildren, Parker and Karli. She was predeceased by her father and mother, George and Dorothy Tunstall; and her brother Stacey Tunstall. Lonnie was born in Medicine Hat, AB on May 12, 1949. She enjoyed a wonderful career in nursing both as a LPN and then later as a RN. She had been employed at the Concordia Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit, until her illness. Lonnies grandchildren were her pride and joy, her love for them overflowed. She was a woman with a strong faith in God. She drew much strength from Springs Church and volunteered her time at the information booth. Traci would like to thank all of Lonnies friends who supported her mother during this last difficult year. Lonnie was a true friend, loving mother, grandmother and a caring compassionate nurse. The people whose lives she has touched will sadly miss her. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Charleswood United Church 4820 Roblin Blvd. with Rev. Michael Wilson officiating. God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be, so He closed his arms around and whispered, "Come to Me". You didnt deserve what you went through, so He gave you rest. Gods garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best. And when He saw you sleeping so peaceful and free from pain we could not wish you back to suffer that again. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Manitoba School for the Deaf, 242 Stradford, Winnipeg, MB R2Y 2E1. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1858 Portage Avenue 949-4872
