ROBERT "BOB" DONALD McLEAN Peacefully on Friday, June 18, 2004, at home surrounded by his family, Robert passed away. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; children, Don (Gladys), Cheryl (Brian), Karen (Dave), Julie (Mike), Ian, Mathew and Rob; grandchildren, Christine and Nicole, Steven and Scott, Michaela and Jayden; also his sister Bonnie Freeborn (Doug) and nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his father, Gordon, December 31, 1978 and his mother, Anne, January 18, 1986. Robert started working at an early age, beside his parents at McLeans Tomboy, 1115 Corydon Ave. later to be known as McLeans Food Market. This became such a large love of his life, meeting, greeting and serving his customers, many becoming lifelong friends. This love and dedication stayed with Robert all his life and this dedication enabled him to work as a meat department manager at Eddy Os World Market in Winnipeg up until two weeks of his passing. But Roberts greatest joy was the time he spent at home with his family. Whether it was camping, attending sporting events or just sitting, watching NFL on Sundays, Robert drew great pride and enjoyment from them all. Roberts sense of humour carried him through his many medical problems over the last year and stayed with him at home over the last two weeks. It was this keen sense of humour that sustained his family through this difficult time. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the palliative and homecare workers who helped make Roberts wish to be at home possible. Special thanks to Heather, Chris, and homecare worker Amy. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Ave. (corner Harrow and Mulvey). We will miss you; youll be in our hearts, forever. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 McGillivray Blvd. - 925-1120
