Hell always be remembered As a man, both strong and good Who gave his best for others And who did the best he could Hell always be remembered For all the joy he brought Hell always be remembered As a man who meant a lot Ian grew up in Winnipeg and was known for his zest for life. He was an open-minded person who was a friend to all. He was generous, kind and would do anything for a friend or family. He was an avid reader who loved to have long discussions on the latest books he had read. His gentle humour characterized his conversation. Having played sports in his youth but having to stop because of a heart condition, he became an avid fan of football and hockey. Though his later life was fraught with difficulty he still remained optimistic, and his tremendous kindness to others never waivered. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Ians memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Arthritis Society, 105-386 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6. Dont grieve for me now Im free Im following the path laid out for me I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play Tasks left undone must stay that way I found my peace at the end of day Be not burdened with thoughts of sorrow I wish you all, the sunshine of tomorrow Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre 885-9715
