VERNA STAWNYCHKO (nee ANTOSKI) October 15, 1915 - June 18, 2004 With love and sadness in their hearts, the family announces the passing of their mother, baba, great baba and sister at Holy Family Nursing Home. She is survived by her daughter Gerry Hewak; grandchildren, Debbie and Darcia Hewak, Donna (Gary) Prost and great-grandson Nicholas Jacob; sister Helen Vance of B.C.; brothers, Joe and Andy Antoski and numerous nephews and nieces, special brother-in-law Mike Scibak who visited her regularly. Verna was predeceased by her husband Walter; three brothers and five sisters. Verna greatly enjoyed her home, garden, Saturday bingos and Sunday dinners with her family. Her grandchildren were here LIFE and baba and gidu were theirs. The family wishes to thank all the staff of Holy Family Nursing Home for their very special care, kindness and compassion during babas later years in life. If she could have spoken before she passed, these are the words she would have said: This life for me has truly passed, I have loved you all to the very last. Weep not for me but courage take, And LOVE one another for my sake. "Goodbye Baba rest in peace." Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. on Tuesday, June 22 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
