PLACIDA DONVITO (nee BRUNO) Peacefully on May 6, 2004, Placida Donvito passed away in Toritto, Bari, Italy, at the age of 88. She was born in Bitritto, Bari, Italy, on January 28, 1916, and resided most of her life in Modugno, Bari, Italy. Placida was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Paolo, on December 16, 1994. Left to cherish her memory, are her children, Maria (Angelo) Pentrelli of Winnipeg, Pietro (Paola) of Italy, Fedelina (Vito) Fumai of Italy, Domenico (Margherita) of Italy, Angelina of Italy, Joe (Toni) of Winnipeg, grandchildren, Paolo Pentrelli, Eugene (Angie) Pentrelli, Lina Pentrelli, Paul Donvito, and great-grandchild Maria Pentrelli, all of Winnipeg and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren all from Italy. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., Winnipeg, MB with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding.
