Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRIS GENNICK (nee SOCHASKY) Suddenly, on Saturday, June 19, 2004, Iris Gennick, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 78 years. Iris was born on June 16, 1926 in Komarno, MB. She was the youngest daughter of Mike and Mary Sochasky. Predeceased by her husband Michael in November 1990, Iris leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her two daughters, Rosemarie and Linda, husband Howard Cooperman; two granddaughters, Kayla and Kristy; and a sister, Minnie Chappel. She was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Mary Sochasky and also brothers, John, Peter, Frank and Orest. Mom was an avid gardner who spent countless hours tending to the produce that she shared with her family. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Fr. Bill Wasyliw officiating. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
