Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA HORODECKI It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anna our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Anna lost her battle with cancer on June 18, 2004 at the Grace Hospice. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by husband Steve of 66 years; children, Sylvia (Norm) of Winnipeg, Edward (Annette) of Guatemala; grandchildren, Randy Husack, Lori Glowacki (Chad) of Winnipeg, Lindsay Horodeski of Moncton, NB, Colin Horodeski of Ottawa, ON; and great-grandson Evan Husack of Winnipeg. Anna was born on April 14, 1918 at Poplarfield, MB where she spent most of her life. In 1938 she married Steve and together they farmed and resided on the family homestead until 1998 when they moved to Winnipeg. Anna was a quiet, gentle person who was very devoted to her family. She was a hard working woman who was often busy from morning till night hardly stopping to rest. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, radio and television programs. Anna continued with homemaking activities until the last few months of her life. Anna is survived by three sisters, Marie Massey of Vancouver, BC, Gloria Deren of Arborg, MB and Sonia (Tom) Dwornick of Winnipeg; and one brother Andrew (Vicky) of Kenora, ON; their families and numerous relatives. She was predeceased by her parents, Justine and Joseph Stasiuk; sister Anastasia; brother Bill; and two brothers in childhood. Our family would like to thank all the medical professionals, staff and volunteers at Grace Cancer Care and Grace Hospice. Special thanks to Dr. Harris, Dr. Mulder and the Palliative team at Grace Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care Anna received. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with reception to follow. Interment will take place at Poplarfield Community Cemetery at approximately 3:00 p.m. of the same day. Pallbearers will be Randy Husack, Lori Glowacki, Evan Husack, Walter Pollick, David Pollick and Marvin Marykuca. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annas memory to the Grace Hospice, 260 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3R5.
