CLIFFORD OLSEN Peacefully on Sunday, June 20, 2004 at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, Clifford Olsen (aged 75) of Oak Point, MB received the best Fathers Day gift ever; he went home to be with his Heavenly Father. Cliff is survived by his loving wife Dorothy; children, Linda (Doug) Schatkowsky, Pat Olsen; stepchildren, Bob (Wendy) Birnie, Margaret (Rick) Blackburn, Wendy Hunter, Mary (Randy) Snyder and Tim (Kathleen) Hunter; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his brothers, Stanley and Walter (Betty) and many other relatives, friends; and especially his beloved dog Duke. Cliff was predeceased by his father Daniel Olsen; mother Isabel Chartrand; infant son Raymond Olsen; stepchildren, Karen Hunter-Young and Fredrick Hunter. He was born April 2, 1929 in Vestfold, MB. Dad was a faithful member of the Lakeside Gospel Chapel in St. Laurent and loved his retirement career of driving the Handivan for the Lundar area. He was always ready with a cheerful smile and a warm welcoming hug for everyone. An evening service of celebration of Cliffords life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25 at the Lundar Legion Hall, Pastor Curtis Reimer officiating. The service will conclude at the hall with lunch to follow. A private internment will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens in Winnipeg on Monday, June 28 at 3:30 p.m. Friends who wish to greet the family in Winnipeg are invited to a reception at the Salvation Army East Kildonan Church at 401 Henderson Hwy. at 5:00 p.m. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Cliffs memory may be made to: E.M.
