ROBERT A. (BOB) CHAPMAN On Sunday, June 20, 2004, Robert A. (Bob) Chapman passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Bob was born in Winnipeg on March 1, 1933. He was employed for many years by the J. H. Ashdown Hardware Company, and prior to his retirement Bob was the director of the Manitoba Text Book Bureau, a branch of the Department of Education. He was a past president of the Winnipeg Junior Chamber of Commerce (1961-1962) and a life member of Junior Chamber International, an organization he was proud to be associated with for almost 50 years. He was a member of the St. James Legion No. 4. He was predeceased by his son William (Billy) and brother Marcus. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Donald (Myunghee), grandchildren Sam, Carla and Camilla; and his daughter Sharon (Kevin Adam) and grandson Parker Adam. He is also survived by his very dear friend Edith Burkett. In keeping with his strong belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, a memorial service will be held on Friday, June 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street. At Bobs request, his remains have been cremated. The family would like to thank the staff at the Riverview Health Centre for their compassion and their excellent care of Bob during his final days.
