GILBERT PETERS Suddenly on Friday, June 18, 2004 at his residence, Gilbert Peters passed away. Gilbert will be lovingly remembered by his two sons, Quinn and Brenn Peters; mother Lillian Peters; sisters, Gloria (Donal) Wolff and Sandy Peters; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his father Wesley. Though Gilbert spent several years engaged in his profession of teaching, when he and his wife moved to Vancouver and had a young family, he began a new career of raising his children and being a stay-at-home dad. His greatest joy in life was his two sons, with whom he shared his vast knowledge and passion for music. Gil will be remembered for his spontaneous spirit and the lasting impression this has made upon his children. Special thank you to his caregivers, especially Ian Mieslo. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gil, may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada (Winnipeg Chapter), 204-825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5.
