Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES ARCHIBALD STAMM March 29, 1935 - June 24, 2004 Peacefully, on Thursday, June 24, 2004, surrounded by his family, Archie passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 69 years. Archie was born in Eriksdale, MB to Charles and Agnes Stamm. Dad leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 12 years, Myrna; son Jim (Michelle), grandchildren Vanessa, Twylla and Brandon; daughters, Darlene (Fred Robak), Lorraine (Caine Rudy), Stephanie and Denae; Sandy (Wes Swain), Amanda and Thomas; Brenda (Paul Deneer), Jonathon and Jennifer; Wanda (Glen King), Ashley (Dez Peebles) and Grant; Peggy (Lyndon Favell), Austin and Jayde; Janice Still, Jodie (Gord Carver), great-grandchildren, Cody, Gordie, Shayla, Marissa and Alyssa, Richard Still and great grandchild Austin and Wendy (Garth Dyck), Andrew, Amanda and Aaron. Dad is survived by sister Eileen Schultz and brother Raymond (Shirley), sisters in law, brothers in law and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his first wife Lorraine, his parents, brothers Roy, George, Ron and Bob; sisters Iris Gagnon and Rose Walker. Dad worked numerous jobs leaving home at the tender age of 13 to work at Parish farms, Shore Glass, Goodbrandsons Transfer and the Army and Navy. He relocated his family to Gillam, MB in 1972 until 1980. In that time Dad worked for Bruderers Ltd, part owner of Northland Taxi and then Manitoba Hydro. Upon moving back to Lockport, MB he went to work for Greco Bros until his retirement in 1994. He was a very well liked, kindhearted person who always was willing to lend a helping hand in any area needed. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and faithful friend to many. His pride and joy being his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Prayers will be said on Sunday June 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Andrews on the Red Anglican Church with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Interment to follow in the churchyard cemetery. His pallbearers will be his grandchildren; Grant, Thomas, Vanessa, Andrew, Richard and Aaron. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bedi and Doreen, Doctors and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital, especially the 5th floor unit 1 and 3 for their wonderful compassion and care. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Rm. 1160-675 McDermot Ave Wpg, MB R3E 0V9. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
