ALAN HALDANE-WILSONE Peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2004, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Alan passed away. Beloved husband of Gladys; father of Terry (Charlie) Langley BC, Chuck (Kim) Kelowna, BC, Susan (Allen) Calgary, AB and Tammy (Joe) Lake Frances, MB; grandfather of Andrea, Geoffrey, Katelyn, Kevin, Tara and Meagan. Alan leaves one brother, C. Rae (Kathy). He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters. Alan was born in Manor, SK, December 2, 1929 and moved to Souris, MB at a young age where he completed high school. He then attended the Radio College of Canada in Toronto, ON, where he received his diploma in Radio Technology, and later Television. He returned to employment in Winnipeg where he met and married Gladys Eastveld. They had 52 wonderful years together. Alan was a partner in Allied TV for many years. He was a member of Winnipeg Seniors Radio Club. His call was VE4 ALN and later VE7 AHW. He thoroughly enjoyed his times as a Ham and made many very good friends; especially the 3 Amigos and they know who they are. A very special thank you to the nurses of S.I.C.U. who took such good care of Alan and to Barb, Paul, Dawn and Tammy on whom I leaned so hard and to Dr. K. Warrian for giving him a chance. Cremation has taken place and at Alans request no service will be held. Ashes will be interned in Souris, MB beside his Mother and Grandparents. If desired, donations can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or a charity of your choice. Flowers gratefully declined. Good night, Honey. I love you.
