NICK KLOS 1923 - 2004 With deep regret and sadness, the family announces the passing on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 of our beloved husband, devoted father and grandfather Opa Nick, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn and cherish his memories are his friend and wife of 55 years, Maria; daughter Bernice (Brian) grandchildren Carolyne and Grant; sister-in-law Irma (Larry) Klapecki; nephews; family in Poland and very close friends Barb, Bob and Bev. Nicks life was based on honouring commitments. He came to Canada in 1947. He brought to Canada and married Maria in 1949 as promised. Nick committed himself to the sponsorship of many of our family members. He offered them a new beginning in a new land. He was a very proud Canadian. Over the years, Nick committed himself to his family as a good provider. He worked at City Meat and Sausage for thirty years and Bristol Aerospace until his retirement. Nick believed that his daughter and grandchildren should be allowed the chance at a quality education, travel and to pursue their extra curricular activities. He was their greatest fan as he watched them compete in figure skating, play at recital, band concerts and show dogs. Those were his greatest moments; ones filled with pride. Nick loved gardening. His roses and apple tree grafts are a testimonial to his green thumb. At the farm, he would put in endless hours seeding and nurturing his plants. He had a special bond with the family barnyard pets, who came running as he drove down the driveway. A special thanks to all the friends and family who gave Nick the support he needed during this difficult month. Thank you to Dr. Neil Swirsky, Dr. Dalling and Staff, 5th floor, U2, Seven Oaks Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 11:00 am, at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Avenue with Msgr. Michael L. Moore officiating. Inurnment shall follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
