MARY PAWLEY Mrs. Mary Haig Falconer Pawley of 625 Prince Arthur Blvd, formerly of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 after a brief battle with cancer, at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on June 26, 1923, Mary resided in West St. Paul, Winnipeg until her illness forced her to move to Thunder Bay and had to be hospitalized. She loved her home and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family. Marys greatest joy was her monthly bus trips with the gang from J&M bus tours. Mary is survived by daughters Dianne Boittiaux of Winnipeg, Mina Hopkins of Thunder Bay and Janet MacDonald of Oakville; son Ewen MacDonald of Mississauga; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one more great grandchild soon to be!; one sister Mrs. Elizabeth Docherty of Thunder Bay; two brothers: John Hunter Robertson of Toronto and James Duncan Robertson of Oakville; sister-in-law Ivy Pawley of Winnipeg and her two children Elaine and Dan. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. She was predeceased by former husbands: Ewen MacDonald and Jennings Pawley; her parents John and Dinah Robertson; brothers-in-law: Hank Docherty and Francis Pawley. As per Marys wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Marys memory to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the charity of choice.
