ETHEL SCARLETT January 20, 1922 - June 23, 2004 Mrs. Ethel Scarlett passed away peacefully at St. Josephs Hospice after a long courageous battle with cancer. Ethel was born in Wigan, England to the late John and Clara Smith. On March 14, 1942 she married Art Scarlett (predeceased). They opened up A/E Ceramics in Winnipeg, where for many years they taught ceramics. Later Ethel did flower arrangements. She will be sadly missed by daughter Sylvia (Larry) Randall, son Raymond (Nicole) Scarlett, grandchildren, Arleen (Murray) Metcalf, Tracy Liinamaa/Randall, Len (Joanna) Randall, Natalie Scarlett, Samantha Scarlett, five great-grandchildren, and brother Jack (Wyn) Smith as well as other family members and friends. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangel Church, 1260 Balmoral Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the Evangel Church Building Fund.
